Pricing and ways to start

Start with the problem you have today.

You do not need to know exactly what is wrong before contacting Metrics Factory. Choose the situation that sounds closest to yours.

Pricing, time commitments, and deliverables are shown here so you can decide whether a conversation makes sense before you schedule one.

Which path sounds most like you?

Direct consulting path

I have a specific, costly operational problem.

Missed commitments, overtime, poor scheduling, rework, capacity pressure, or a process that depends on constant intervention.

Diagnostic kit path

I suspect something isn’t working, but I can’t quite put my finger on it.

Use a self-led exercise with your functional team to capture what each area is seeing and reveal where problems overlap.

Focused implementation

We understand the problem and need help changing the process.

Work alongside the people closest to the process to implement one practical improvement and prove the result.

The kit is not a required first step. If you have an urgent, defined problem, a short fit conversation can lead directly to an operational assessment.

The core consulting offer

Operational assessment

Best for: an owner who can point to a recurring operational problem and wants outside eyes on the work.

Matt follows the work from demand through delivery, compares the owner’s concern with evidence from the operation and team, and identifies the constraint that deserves attention first.

Multiple workflows, shifts, or locations

  • Three observation days or tailored
  • Cross-functional findings
  • Implementation priorities

What does “on site” mean for your business?

It means going wherever the work and handoffs actually occur. That may mean sitting beside an account manager and following a request from the first email through completion, observing an administrative workflow, riding with a field crew, or walking a production floor or warehouse. The observation plan is agreed with you before the assessment begins.

How is the opportunity quantified?

Depending on the business, that may include labor hours, turnaround time, backlog, missed follow-ups, customer risk, rework, downtime, or unused capacity. The goal is to make the financial effect visible enough to prioritize improvements by expected return.

What is included

Prework, owner kickoff, direct observation, focused team conversations, analysis, findings review, and a written roadmap.

Your time

About one hour for kickoff, reasonable access to the team and operation, and approximately 90 minutes for the findings review.

Your choice afterward

You keep the findings whether you implement internally or request a separate improvement proposal. There is no obligation to continue.

Spend 30 minutes discussing its effect, what has been tried, and who is involved.

  2. 02
    Choose the smallest useful step

Review the recommended scope, timing, price, and deliverables.

  3. 03
    Decide without pressure

Proceed, wait, handle it internally, or request a concise written scope.

Common questions

Know before you begin.

Do I have to buy a kit before hiring Metrics Factory?

No. If you have a defined and urgent problem, the operational assessment is usually the best place to start.

Will the kit turn into a sales pitch?

The debrief helps interpret what your team found. If deeper work is justified, it will be explained plainly, but there is no obligation to continue.

How do I know which assessment size I need?

The fit conversation determines whether the problem is contained, crosses several functions, or requires a tailored scope.

Can you work with the office and the production floor?

Yes. Metrics Factory follows work across quoting, order entry, planning, production, fulfillment, field work, and delivery when the problem crosses those boundaries.

How is sensitive information handled?

Improving a process may require access to sensitive customer, employee, financial, or operational information. Matt is willing to sign a reasonable NDA before reviewing that information. The scope of access, handling of working materials, and confidentiality expectations are agreed upon before the engagement begins.

Are software and automation included?

They may be part of an improvement, but only after the process is understood. The process comes first.

What size business is a good fit?

The working focus is owner-led companies with roughly 10 to 100 employees and about $2 million to $25 million in annual sales. Fit depends more on the operational problem and willingness to involve the team than on an exact size.

What about travel?

Travel requirements and any related costs are shown in the written scope before work begins.

When can an assessment happen?

Assessments are scheduled around your operating calendar, including seasonal peaks and quieter planning or implementation windows. Current availability is confirmed during the fit conversation before you commit.

Can I share this with my partner or management team?

Yes. Download the one-page assessment guide for a concise summary of fit, process, pricing, time, and deliverables.

Not sure which path fits?

Start with a 30-minute conversation.

If a kit or another option makes more sense, that is what Metrics Factory will recommend. Current scheduling availability is confirmed before any work is booked.
